Receptor have developed fire safety training courses for commercial clients in order to ensure that fire safety team members are aware of their responsibilities within the following areas: -

These courses tend to be delivered at your site, thus the course is tailored to your environment. A course overview is shown below.
Course Overview
Receptor provides 'on site' training for staff in matters relating to fire safety in the workplace. This training is intended to last 2 hours and is part classroom theory, followed by a tour of your site, putting the theory into practice.
The following subjects are discussed during the course.
- Legal requirements with respect to fire safety in buildings.
- British Standards to guide good design and operation of systems.
- Risk Assessment – its role in provided for suitable solutions.
The course addresses the following areas:-
1> The Fire Alarm System
- Technology and monitoring techniques
- Operation in normal and fire conditions
- Action and Evacuation process
- Testing the system to include one fire evacuation drill
2> Fire Risks
- Identifying fire risks in your day to day business
- Evaluation of the fire risk and actions available to your staff
3> Staff Responsibilities
- Record keeping
- Staff roles
4> Emergency Lighting
- Types used and correct application
- Testing the fittings
5> Fire Extinguishers
- Types & application
- Practical use of extinguisher (optional)
A Certificate of Training will be issued to those attending. A new fire safety logbook for your record keeping will also be issued.
