Graham Bettany, our Managing Director, carries out fire risk assessments for Receptor. As a Competent Person he must be able to demonstrate experience, knowledge and personal attributes to represent you.
He will draw on this experience and knowledge to assess and prepare a full report to comply with the requirements of Article 9 of the Regulatory Reform (fire safety) order 2005.
An overview of his qualifications: -
- 4-Year Apprenticeship in Fire Safety Engineering
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) Electronic and Electrical Engineering - Leicester Polytechnic (later De Montfort University, Leicester)
- Higher Nation Diploma (HND) Electronic and Electrical Engineering - Leicester Polytechnic (later De Montfort University, Leicester)
- PGD IT Degree in Information Technology - De Montfort University Leicester
- Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Risk Assessor Accredited
- Nebosh National General Certificate in Health and Safety Accredited
- Nebosh National Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate Accredited
Example of the Materials that will be needed to be discussed and inspected are :-
- Fire and Safety Training Records
- Fire Safety log book
- Roles and Responsibilities, who is in the emergency team?
- Your emergency plan
- Drawings of the site
- Any local authorities documents or letter referring to fire safety
- First aider data
- Any other materials relating to fire safety you have
